The webinar included the following presentations: Dr. Fiona Laramay, AECOM [PDF] presented In Situ Treatment of PFAS- Contaminated Groundwater. Remediation of groundwater contaminated with PFAS has been challenging due to exceptional recalcitrance of these compounds. Emerging technologies for remediation include ultrasound. The presentation discussed fundamentals of the technology and applications in groundwater remediation. Maureen Dooley, Regenisis [PDF] presented Colloidal Activated Carbon for In- situ Remediation of PFAS: A Review of Multiple Case Studies. The presentation reviewed data from multiple field sites where an in-situ barrier of colloidal activated carbon has been utilized to remediate PFAS contamination.
